The concept of a domain name was created to make it easier to remember computer addresses on the Internet.
Each computer connected to the network has a number called an IP address, such as 192.168.200.203. Imagine having to memorize this number and type it every time you wanted to access a website. Furthermore, it would be necessary to memorize several other numerical sequences for the websites used daily.
This would make browsing the Internet very complicated and, probably, the Web would not have achieved the success it has today.
To solve this problem, domain names emerged, replacing numbers with simple and easy-to-remember names. So, instead of typing an address full of numbers, you just write something like registrar.ao or google.com, which is much more intuitive and practical.
Thanks to domain names, the Internet has become more accessible and easier to use for everyone.
